Glittery Pink, Yellow, and Blue Styled Shoot

We sure are suckers for anything gold and glittery.  Throw in modern gray table linens and a unique color palette and we are hooked!  So it's no surprise that this fun and colorful styled shoot left us smiling from ear to ear.

The bride's gorgeous bouquet by Holy Viles Design is to die for; full of vibrant wildflowers, peonies, berries, and trailing foliage that add to the whimsy of the shoot. The glittery gold sequin bouquet wrap is the perfect finishing touch; adding just the right amount of girly glam.

The overall styling of the shoot by Events by Kristin is spot on.  From the hot pink, blue, and yellow color palette to the coordinating macaroon favors.  We love the contrast of the gray quatrefoil table linens against the cheerful, vibrant color scheme.  All captured and brought to life by the fabulous team over at Thompson Pictures.  Every aspect of this shoot leaves us wanting to see more.

The mix of rustic and modern elements on this darling sweetheart table is perfection. The old barn doors and natural foliage arch help ground the bold colors and patterns of the table.

Aren't you just in love with this stunning bride's red hair and fishtail braid? Her pink lipstick totally completes the look and ties in the overall color palette of the event.  Anastasia over at Concepts by Anastasia did such a great job on her makeup.

This shoot proves that you don't have to stick to just two wedding colors.  Don't be afraid to be daring!  Go bold and choose a variety of complementary colors. Just be sure to ground the palette in some way, such as, with neutral table linens and rustic surroundings.

Love is in the Air - Hot Air Balloon Themed Wedding

Hot Air Balloon Invitations There would be nothing lovelier than saying "I do" in a brightly colored hot air balloon as you and your love float along on a warm spring day. This sweet little daydream is the inspiration behind our newest wedding collage. We love the way the sunlight streams through the balloon silk,  subduing the bright colors and softening them into a dreamy pastel color palette. Streamers of ribbon that catch any passing breeze and vintage style stationary complete the look. Enjoy!

Things We Love - Succulent Summer Wedding Flowers

Succulent and engagement ringSoft, supple and so sweet for a summer wedding, succulent flowers are one of the many things that we love! Recently we have noticed that these fleshy little beauties have found their way into wedding ceremonies and reception decor everywhere. The unexpected use of these non-traditional flowers makes for a striking and simply lovely look! While usually a soft green or gray shade of these plants are used to accent more traditional floral selections, these plants also come in a wide range of colors, shapes and sizes. For all you nature conscious brides out there, these plants are known for their eco-friendly qualities. The plants are able to survive in very dry and arid climates and can survive on very little water. Because of their easy growth, usually no pesticides or chemicals are used. Also, the plants live nearly forever! Once succulents are cut for use in your bouquet and other wedding decor, they will last for weeks and can then be planted! These hearty flowers are perfect for summer weddings because they can withstand the heat of the day without wilting. Check out our inspiration board featuring gorgeous succulents paired with shades of green, cream and yellow.

Poppies & Sunshine - A Wedding Color Story

Poppy bloom Almost eerily beautiful, the poppy flower has deep rooted symbolism and meaning behind it. While the Wicked Witch of the West used the poppy's powers of sleep against Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, the flower has a more cheerful orientation to it as well. The poppy has associations with beauty, magic and fertility. These delicate wildflowers come in a variety of types and colors. The California Poppy takes center stage in our Poppies and Sunshine Color Inspiration Board. Perfect for a spring or summer wedding, the California Poppy's colors range from yellow to light and dark orange. Pair these cheerful blooms with shades of sunshine yellow, sky blue and shadowy gray for a charming wedding color scheme.

Honey and Pecan Color Palette for A Wedding that is Truly 'Meant to Bee'

Create a warm color palette for your casually elegant outdoor wedding with rich tones of honey, goldenrod yellow, and pecan brown. This palette when combined with a subtle honey or bumble bee theme creates the feelings of being outdoors on a sunny summer day. Guests will love little hints at your theme here and there. A bumble bee brooch in your wedding bouquet, honeycomb inspired invitations, and pure beeswax candles are few ways to incorporate your theme without going overboard. Milk glass vases, which can be found with a little creative thrift store and attic shopping, are a beautiful accent that gives your event just a little more elegance than the popular mason jars. Fill your vases with beautiful golden yellow roses for a simple centerpiece. At the end of a beautiful night, send your guests home with a decorative jar of natural honey complete with a gift tag and a personal thank you message.
