Fallyn and Grant's wedding is one for the storybooks. Full of romance and a real life owl as the ring bearer. A big thank you to Adorn Invitations for sharing this gorgeous wedding with us.

The couple wed at the charming Maleny Manor in the Sunshine Coast Hinterlands. Fallyn new she wanted a classic, vintage Gatsby feel for her wedding with soft pinks, whites, and accents of gold. We say she definitely hit the mark! The bride's florist even imported French Peonies from Paris as a wedding gift for the couple as they were out of season at the time.

Fallyn and Grant met in high school and it was love at first sight. Grant proposed to Fallyn while they were sailing on a private gondola off the Gold Coast Qld. After a romantic dinner and while the sun was setting, he popped the question with a bottle of champagne and a dozen red roses. So romantic!

The bride had the privilege of working with a not-for-profit organization called Raptor Vision based in Sunshine Coast, QLD who are a wonderful animal rescue group. The guys behind this were retired zoo trainers who rescue and care for local birds. To fund the cost of caring for the animals, they trained one of their owls to deliver wedding bands. Luna the Owl surprised our guests as our ring bearer for the ceremony.

The bride and groom used a vintage mirror for a unique twist on the traditional escort card. We love this trend of using mirrors as place settings which adds a bit of sparkle and romance to your wedding decor.

Romantic Wedding in a Lavender Field

When this wedding crossed our inbox, it took our breath away. It's every girl's dream to stroll through a romantic lavender field hand in hand with the one she loves. Swoon. Please transport me to Australia immediately. These stunning photos were captured and sent to us by the ever so talented Silvia from Blumenthal Photography. Lauren and Chris's wedding is one for the storybooks; full of jaw dropping reception decorations and timeless touches. From the neutral color palette to the classic cocktail tables, ever choice was spot on. Cheers to the happy couple.

Q: How did the two of you meet?

"Chris and I met at a NYE party back in 2000. We were celebrating out in the city with a group of mutual friends and had been making eye contact with each other all night...Chris and I got talking and dancing together as if we’d known each other for years. When it hit 11:55pm Chris grabbed my hand and took me out on the balcony of the bar we were at to watch the fireworks. We shared our first kiss under the fireworks when the clock hit midnight, it was extraordinarily cliché but you know what they say; ‘the way you spend your NYE is the way you’ll spend the rest of your year’ and hopefully the rest of my life!"

Can you believe these stunning decorations over the tables? The hanging branches, flowers, and vases are the perfect mix of rustic and romance. Here's what the bride had to say about the reception:

"Chris and I are both very laid back people who love spending time outdoors! If given the choice we would always choose vintage and wood over modern and glitz. When we look at lifestyle, from our clothing to the interior in our apartment, we knew that a vintage/rustic theme would best reflect our personality as a couple. We wanted to have a wedding that we wouldn’t look back at photos of in 50 years and cringe at our decoration choices; therefore neutral, natural and vintage elements were all used to hopefully produce a timeless wedding.

Our reception was full of laughter and tears, but it was absolutely perfect! The décor blew me away, our whole set up looked even more beautiful than I could have imagined! By the time our reception started the sun began to set yet the weather was still nice and warm. Our guests were constantly commenting on how stunning everything looked, how delicious all of the food was, and how happy we both looked. Our speeches had us both in stitches; I’ve never laughed and cried so hard at the same time in my life! My bridesmaids had to fix my makeup multiple times, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way! "
