It's officially the first day of autumn here and we couldn't be more excited to share this timely fall wedding inspiration with you today. Full of rustic and country inspired details, Ashley and Corey's real wedding took place in the middle of an apple orchard at the beautiful Bennett's Orchard in Ottawa Lake, Michigan. The decor was spot on from the vintage, shabby chic styled doors that the bride walked through to the couple's signature apple cider drink. We love the groomsmen's plaid checkered shirts and pink ties which added to the laid back country styling. A big thank you to Gage Blake Photography for capturing and sharing all the details in this lovely, DIY wedding. Doesn't it make you want to grab a mug of warm apple cider and take a stroll?
Stealworthy Idea: The vintage doors that framed the entrance to the ceremony are an amazing idea. A very romantic and elegant way to add a focal point and ground the wedding aisle. The wedding party arrived by horse drawn wagon which was perfectly fitting for this orchard venue.
This wedding guest book alternative is a unique twist on the traditional guest sign-in area. Rather than having an actual book for guests to write in, the bride and groom opted to have guests sign a bench to be displayed in their home after the wedding. Such a great way to remember their special day.
Hanging from the apple trees were wicker baskets and mason jars full of fresh flowers. Trailing ribbons and burlap bows accented the tree branches. This sweetly styled detail provided a backdrop for the bride and groom to say their vows.
