Pink and Gold Rustic Barn Wedding

We can't even begin to express the crazy, awesome talent over at Rising Lotus Photography.  If you haven't already, be sure and check out the gallery on their website and get ready to be blown away.  We are lucky enough today to feature one of their recent weddings which definitely did not disappoint.  Alexis and Brad's outdoor rustic wedding combined a recipe for perfection. From the rustic barn setting and burlap decor to the gilded gold accents and pink flowers, nothing stole the show more than the spectacular canopy of dance floor lighting that will leave you breathless (well maybe the bride's Maggie Sottero gown...but we'll let you be the judge).

We are loving this escort card table and rustic log place card holders.  The towering tree branch display creates drama while the hanging mason jars and real wood holders add just the right amount of rustic to the tables.  Don't have someone handy to make these adorable log holders for you? Glam Real Wedding in Southern California

Captured by Your Lovely Wedding, Lena and Harnell's wedding is one for the storybooks, glistening with crystals and pink accents.  From the showstopping wedding cake to the glamorous reception table centerpieces, the romance oozes from every single detail.  We are simply in awe over the fabulous crystal ceremony backdrop you will have to see to believe.

How fun are these bridesmaids gift baskets? Lena put in necklaces for each girl along with a small bottle of wine, bath loofahs, and for the finishing touches...the movie Bridesmaids of course.

Lena and Harnell's escort table consisted of antique keys tied with pink tassels and handwritten escort name cards. Vintage mirrored signs were placed around the table along with loosely tied organic florals and pearl wrapped votives.  We love the romantic touch this table brought to their reception.

Late Night Wedding Cigar and Bourbon Bar

After all the time you and your soon-to-be spouse spend planning your perfect wedding day, your reception is the time to relax and enjoy all of the little details you have put together with your friends and family.  We absolutely adore the idea of surprising your hubby and guests with a custom bar featuring specialty cigars and his favorite bourbon or scotch.  If you want to add an extra touch of sophistication, consider hiring a cigar roller for your event to give your guests a chance to see the art of making a finished cigar.

We created a custom cigar bar to give you a bit of inspiration - and we hope you love it!

DIY Sparkler Send Off

Summer and outdoor weddings beg for a little sparkle and shine.  Making a romantic, sparkler send-off a must-have photo op for brides and grooms.  After all, who doesn't love a glamorous, dramatic send-off?  In three easy steps, create your very own sparkler send-off for guests to light your way as you leave your wedding reception.

DIY Sparkler Send Off

Supplies:

Sparklers
Ribbon
Scissors
Hole Punch
Paper and Frame
Bucket or tray for holding the sparklers

Step 1: Gather your supplies. Cut your ribbon and prep your matchbooks with a single hole punch.  (Providing each guest with a book of matches is way easier than trying to pass a few lighters around a group of 100+ people.)

Step 2: Tie sparklers (we used groups of three) to your matches using your pre-cut ribbon.  Place into your bucket or tray.

Step 3: Write your send-off sign (If you have terrible hand-writing like me, simply print your own).  Insert into frame and voila.

Fun Backyard DIY Summer Wedding

The most important thing on Lauren and Dan's wedding day was to have fun with their family and friends - and they made it happen one DIY project at a time.  Everyone in the bridal party and family had a hand in putting together this fabulous tented backyard affair.  The bride's father - a wood shop teacher - made loads of details and props for the wedding, bridesmaids cut table runners, groomsmen constructed a catapult to launch the bridal bouquet, and the moms washed out pickle and salsa jars that would hold votives on the couple's big day.  Between the activities leading up to this wedding and the ceremony and reception themselves, the bride and groom are sure to remember this day for years to come.  We can't thank Something Blue Wedding Photography enough for sharing this real wedding with us.

The groomsmen put together this awesome catapult to launch the bridal bouquet.  Guests wrote their names on flags and stuck them in the yard to see who's guess is closest.  Talk about a fun wedding game!
