White feather hair fascinator
While the Royal Wedding has come and gone and the coverage of the special event has been plastered over news stations, magazines, and books everywhere, there is still a genuine interest in the doings of the royalty we all  became so familiar with.  Everyone is keeping an eye on William and Kate and the up and coming Pippa, and everyone is still talking about and beginning to emulate the styles of the British royalty.  Many of the looks  seen and talked about during the royal wedding extravaganza were no doubt related to the royal wedding hats worn by many of the guests  attending the event.  While some looks were mocked and giggled at, others were admired and applauded.   Without question, the hat designs worn by the royal wedding guests were unique, over the top and downright eye catching!  Take a look at some of the most talked about royal wedding hats featuring flowers, feathers, sculptural effects and... butterflies!?

12 Days of Weddings - Four Calling Birds

Four Calling Birds Christmas Card
We are excited to reveal the newest edition in our 12 Days of Weddings blog series, featuring inspirations drawn from Day Four of the famous 12 Days of Christmas song. A fun little known fact about this verse is that it originally named four colly birds, not four calling birds. In other words, the original quartet of birdies consisted of simple blackbirds. While we love the cheeky little Christmas card (shown to the left) that plays off the more well-known phrasing of the song, our main set of images features colly bird silhouettes and vintage style in keeping with the original verse. Enjoy!

Mason Jar Masterpieces

Mason jars with floating tea lights
The simple elegance of a mason jar is not always recognized, but with a little time and a creative touch, you can turn a basic jar into a classy decoration for your wedding. Whether your reception is a summer soiree or a winter wonderland, you will surely be inspired by the gorgeous ideas in this blog.
With so many uses, where should we start? Pair a floating candle with lace or twine for a rustic, romantic feel. A cluster of different sized jars with only a small tea light can replace flower centerpieces and help light your reception venue. These dreamy decorations will make any girl swoon, and remind her of the enchanting wedding she has always dreamed of.

Another cute and practical idea is to use the mason jars as glasses to hold your guests’ choice of drink at the reception. Take this a step further and apply chalkboard contact paper to the jars. You can write the names of your guests and even their table number to direct them to their seats.
Mason jar wedding ideas
As you can see, mason jars can be used for aisle decorations, lighting, drinking glasses, and even place cards. So what are you waiting for? Head over to a local store in the canning section and decorate your heart out! If your wedding is too far away to wait, consider featuring these striking DIY projects at your holiday party.
