Christy and Jose tied the knot at the romantic Saint Francis Chapel, owned by the Museum of Man in Balboa Park, CA. These two love family and wanted to focus on a traditional Mexican themed wedding. They did not disappoint. I mean, the live mariachi band at their ceremony is above and beyond fantastic.
Keeping with any traditional Mexican wedding, both the bride and groom's families helped tremendously with the wedding details. Their reception was held at the Mission Bay Women's Club and the groom's family cooked all the food. Their vibrant heritage-inspired decor was the perfect backdrop for a fun and lively reception. Everything was done on a budget, and the couple and their families did such a great job in making their wedding vision come true. Every aspect of the couple's wedding cake helped tie in their traditional theme. From the hand crafted, Mexican cake topper figurines all the way down to the heirloom glass cake stand.
We adore Christy and Jose's unique seating arrangement idea that incorporated Mexican Loteria cards. Such a great and unexpected addition! The vibrant, heritage infused styling of this wedding really pulled together the feeling of tradition, family, and commitment.
